Our Story

Real families. Real challenges. Real solutions that actually work in your everyday life.

Why We Started ivinaviora

Back in 2019, I was sitting at my kitchen table with spreadsheets everywhere, trying to figure out why our family budget never seemed to work. Sound familiar? My partner and I had decent jobs, but money just... disappeared. School fees, groceries that cost more than expected, that car repair we didn't see coming.

The budgeting apps we tried felt like they were made for people who already had their finances sorted. They wanted us to categorize every coffee purchase while we were struggling to understand where our money actually went each month.

So we started tracking our spending differently. Not just the big stuff, but the real stuff. The extra at the supermarket because the kids wanted something. The subscription we forgot about. The birthday present we hadn't planned for.

That's when it clicked – budgeting isn't about perfect categories or complicated formulas. It's about understanding your actual life and making small changes that stick. Now we help other Australian families do the same thing, without the spreadsheet headaches.

What Guides Our Work

Real Life First

Your budget needs to work with school pickup times, unexpected expenses, and that week when everyone gets sick. We build around your actual life, not some perfect version of it.

No Judgment Zone

Everyone makes financial mistakes. We've been there too. Our approach focuses on moving forward, not dwelling on what happened before you found us.

Simple Systems

If a budgeting method takes more than 15 minutes a week to maintain, it probably won't stick. We help you create systems that are actually sustainable for busy families.

Who You'll Work With

We're not financial advisors in suits. We're parents and partners who've figured out how to make budgeting work without losing your mind.

Rebecca Chen

Financial Planning Specialist

Former bank lending officer who got tired of seeing good people struggle with budgets that didn't match their reality. Rebecca specializes in helping families plan for both expected and unexpected expenses.

Sarah Mitchell

Family Budget Coordinator

Mum of three who learned the hard way that generic budgeting advice doesn't work when you're dealing with school fees, sports equipment, and growing kids. Sarah helps families create flexible budgets that bend without breaking.

How We Actually Help

We don't hand you a template and wish you luck. Instead, we spend time understanding how your family actually spends money – including all those little expenses that add up without you noticing.

Then we help you build a budget that accounts for your real spending patterns, not some idealized version. This means planning for the fact that you might spend more on groceries some weeks, or that car registration always seems to sneak up on you.

Most importantly, we help you adjust as you go. Because life changes, and your budget should be able to change with it.
